I am trying to improve my access to the internet/phone/technology from bed. I use my Quadstick when I'm in my power chair at my desk for the past 10 years, but I'm trying to find a solution where I could use it in bed.

The Problem
I currently use the switch accessibility feature of the android phone via a Sip/Puff Breeze. I have always had major issues with it where it's inconsistent and difficult to target buttons I need to target, so I'm looking to replace it. And I want to upgrade so that I can do more! I sleep on my side and someone typically clips the tube very close to my mouth on the pillow. I'm able to sleep without knocking into it and waking me up and I'm able to reach for it with my mouth and pull it ever so slightly closer for comfort when I need it.

Has anyone come up with a simple/reliable solution to make their Quadstick fill this role? I need it for emergencies but also when I can't sleep and I'm just looking for something to do.

My research up to this point has only found examples where people are on their back and gaming. I'm trying to find a solution on my side that doesn't get in the way of sleeping but I can access it myself when I need it.

Anyone ever used a very large wall term like this one and attached to the Quadstick with a RAM mount? I'm really liking the idea because it maintains the relationship with the monitor when adjusting it and it's easy to swing it to the other side of the bed when I turn in the middle the night.

My only concern would be if using the Quadstick's joystick would cause the arm to move around. I'll check in with the manufacturer tomorrow to see if they have any helpful information.

Anyone have a similar set up to this they can recommend an arm product?

Cheers!

I spoke to the manufacturer of the arm that I linked to in the previous message. They looked up some videos of the Quadstick in use and don't see an issue with my idea to anchor the Quadstick  to the monitor grab rail using RAM accessories. They said that there should be enough stiffness in the arm to keep it from moving when using the joystick.

I think I'm going to go this route and will report back to let you all know how it works and document my setup.
