Good morning,

I am programming an Original Quadstick right now and I am having trouble figuring out why this profile isn't working.

I am working with a minecraft profile currently and it doesn't work in the game at all.

I am playing on the Xbox using the Brook Converter and when I load into the game it seems like the d pad is constantly toggling on and I am unable to get out of any menus.

The firmware build is 2328 (up to date).

I tried using an Xbox input reader on the internet and its showing that the up direction on the joystick is not being read as an input at all. I have it set to right stick to control the camera, left and right work, up and down doesn't. It's also showing that axis 9 is constantly toggling on which I believe is the d pad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it just this config that does not work correctly?

The only minor issues I see in the config are:

left_triggernormalmp_left_puff

Place Items
left_triggerforce_offmp_left_puff

Force off toggles
On the first sheet.  Get rid of the second row.

This works in the first sheet:

left_joy_uptogglemp_triple_puff

Move forward
left_joy_downtogglemp_triple_sip

Move backwards
left_joy_upforce_offmp_triple_sip

Toggle Forward off
left_joy_downforce_offmp_triple_puff

Toggle Backwards off

but this probably does not behave smoothly in the second sheet:

left_joy_uptogglemp_triple_puff
left_joy_downtogglemp_triple_sip
left_joy_upnormalmp_triple_sip
left_joy_downnormalmp_triple_puff

use force_off instead of normal for those last two rows.

Regarding your original complaint, I see nothing that would cause that.

I use the test site:  Gamepad Tester - Check Controllers and Joysticks Online  to check things.  Try it with and without the Brook converter.   If the converter is older, try updating its firmware.  https://www.brookaccessory.com/download/Xbox%20one/

You can use a Preferences sheet to turn on/off the Green leds on the right side.  They can be used to verify you are actually selecting the configuration file you expect.  Don't forget to click the Download to Quadstick button after making changes to a spreadsheet

I apologize for being unclear, I have fixed the issues with the left stick as far as toggling on and off movement.

I am still having trouble with axis 9 being toggled on after any input (this is on the gamepad tester).

Could you also confirm if up and down on the right stick are supposed to be registered as axis 5?

I have made you suggested movement changes, thank you so much for the timely response and assistance!

The quadstick in default mode emulates an AfterGlow PS3 compatible controller which is too obscure for the test site to fully decode.  They only fully display well known controllers.  Axis 9 is just how they display the Top-hat (D-Pad) value.  Right analog stick is Axis 2 and 5 in emulation mode 0.

This is a screen capture of the D-Pad in the down+left (Southwest) direction while in emulation mode 0:

Here is the same situation with the Quadstick in Dual Shock 3 emulation (mode 1):

You can run the quadstick through the brook converter and the test site will properly decode the X-input controller.
