Hi,
I am trying to map output functions for Gran Turismo on the PS4. To use the throttle, I used increment value to ramp up the throttle to full throttle. Now for the brake, I need it to start from full brake and decrement it down to no brake. I rigged it so I tap a button and the brake increments to 100% and then tap another button to decrement it down by 50%, but after I hit decrement twice the brake goes back on at full brake. This way of have rigged it is hard for me because I have to push to many buttons in a short period. I am doing something wrong? Could you give some advice.
Thanks!

im thinking instead of having a button to automatically be one 100 percent on brake , Just have the brakes set on normal. it should Be registered as 100 percent if assigned on a sip/ Puff. And your second version of breaking can be of increment value If you so choose.
left_2, normal, mp_center_sip
left_2, increment_value 50, lip

I believe the center sip should override increment value As one way to turn off left_2. Alongside with force offs

I understand what you mean, but if I did that it would just allow me two different ways of achieving 100% brake power. It would not be starting at 100% and decreasing down to 0%, which would prevent me from having to sip/puff up to 100% brake and then slowly decrease my sip/puff pressure which I have trouble doing.

Well here is my profile for racing games, I mainly tap the brake or throttle to maintain a certain speed, But overall I just try to go as fast as I can. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tcdwYhhnjEEVV5mzCELeF8VELUtItqZpM9fdqM2PDRo/edit?gid=2138116709#gid=2138116709

Are you trying to achieve realism when driving or is it all about being first place.
I guess you could push the brake moving the joystick down since it gives analog value instead of digital value

left_2, normal, down
If it activates to often, You could also increase the dead zone on your profile

joystick_deflection_minimum
normal6

joystick_deflection_maximum
normal30

In GT7 there is a technique called trail braking. The purpose of the technique is to have faster turns in tight corners, the idea is that as you're coming to a corner you hit the brakes and slowly release the pressure on the brakes as turning the corner and then at the Apex of the corner you start pushing select the  the gas essentially speeding up when exiting the corner. This is what I am trying to achieve!

I don't know if this would work. I don't know how to check values For triggers within a 3rd party program

You activate your 50% break with center sip. And when you think you're almost going to reach the apex, Activate lip. It will change modes and start decreasing brakes on its own within  1.2 secs. And then change back to gameplay. You can always cut off breaks by activating gas at any.

Again I haven't tested this

Honestly, that would work in theory. My problem is it is hard to switch between that many buttons that quick when completing a turn due to my limited head movement. If there was a simpler way to do it!
