What are some good games that are enjoyable to play and the controls are fairly manageable using the quad stick? They can be for PS4, Xbox one or PC.

Hi Kasey,

I started out With Skyrim mediaeval style game with dragons I totally love it, It has basic controls on the default setting I only ever really use the first three LEDs in the default setting to command the whole game, There are loads of YouTube videos to help you level up quickly especially your smithing

I that helps,

I figured Skyrim would be a good one. I am kinda thinking of getting witcher 3 because I think it's similar to Skyrim but newer. I played Skyrim before I had my accident and I enjoyed it but might like to try some different. I'm also kind of thinking of getting rocket league which looks kind of fun.

Any game is manageable it just depends how much time you want to invest in one, if you really want to play something that looks out of reach let me know and id be glad to show you how to get around it.

Im playing Fallout 4, Halo 5 and Black Op's 3 atm on PS4 & XBox one (cronusmax + X-aim DI, and they're all incredible and 100% playable.

My only trepidation is that you can't control both analog stick controls at the same time. Which makes playing first-person shooters in a competitive sense more difficult. I haven't gotten my quad stick yet so I can't really say how well everything works.

Well there is a few options depending on how much arm movement you have, i am C4-5, so no tricep, wrist or hand function, just shoulders and weak biceps, you only need 3 buttons to control 1 stick and that's forward and left/right strafe, the other is controlled with the quadstick. So i lay a keyboard on my lap that has all the buttons pulled out bar 4 down the bottom, space cause it's big and you don't need to look at it or feel, and on the right i lay my hand on Num0 and Enter and you rock your hand between the two for strafing. Shift for ADS, but not needed.

I wish somehow people could see how i do this because writing it down just doesn't do it justice. In the last 3 COD's i have had a 3.0+ kd, top #100 in WoW raiding and multiple #1's in WoW DPS, top #10 Barb and Witch Doctor DPS in Diablo 3, and was #1 in Australia for paragon levels. i have completed over 35 steam games 100% most of which were FPS's and was top #25 in light levels for the past 3 destiny expansions. So with the extra 3 buttons that could be placed literally anywhere to have the same effect for eg; under elbows, back of your head (my mates a c4 with zero bicep movement and sits small jelly bean buttons under his elbows and uses shoulder shrugs and very few voice controls and he plays just as good as most able body people lol)

Trust me when i say you can still be competitive, there's just no other way to get this point across without sounding like some gloating douchebag so i apologise :(

I have spent the last 6yrs in a hospital bed doing this same thing everyday with similar but extremely inferior versions of the Quadstick and once i got  my QS last year it's been like a dream come true.

Id stream but im too much of a pussy lol

Yes I can see how you can be competitive playing like that however I was C4 quad that has no arm or hand movement. I have an idea of how I can sort of get around not being able to use both joysticks but until I get the quad stick and my PlayStation 4 with a first-person shooter, I have no way of knowing if it'll work.

I just got my QS a couple of days ago. There are frustrations Kasey but hang in there (for me atleast). My frist ps4 game was Little Big Planet 3 and boy its fun playing with friends. I  just pugged and played (configuration1) Like Fred said it works but... 10 min interruption from Cronusmax wanting to reconnect. It is very annoying. I use configure 3. and it works great but I can't get my ultrastick 360 going. I can't get any game files  loaded either. I tried loading and the status box (Left bottom box) says loading....... (doesn't say if its loaded). I tried to play to see but the setup is still default settings. Any suggestions? on loading. Oh Brad Please do videos:) Maybe a how to load game file videos too:) Hopefully I can get help from you guys. I have Starwars/CoD/Need for speed waiting for me:(. Need configuration suggestions/help. I think my Psn name is binky83 if any of you want to friend me. below is configurations. Off to work(yeah on Saturday) and happy gaming all

Buicky
3 configerations-
Here are 3 ways to setup that Fred sent me. A lot easier than looking at figures.
1)  CM into PS4, QuadStick into CM.  Upside, simple.  Downside, every ten minutes it can upset some games when it resets the connection.
2)  CM into PS4, four port USB hub into CM, QuadStick into hub, DS4 into hub. (Brand new and documented here)  Gets rid of the ten minute reset and does not require a PC but it is more wires)
3)  CM into PS4, DS4 into CM, QuadStick into PC, PCPROG port into PC.  PC running QuadStick Manager Program.  Gives the ability to use the Ultrastik.  It currently does not handle the swipe function on the touchpad, but that's mostly because I only have two other people using the Ultrastik and they are not on the PS4 so it has not been a priority.    I can fix that fairly soon.

Buicky I bought the Cronus Max plus so here's hoping that I will be able to do configuration one without having any of the disconnection problems.

Hey Craig, I know how you feel. I'm in the same boat only I can shrug my shoulders along with neck movement. I'm thinking of doing twitch and YouTube too, if I can find out an easy way to record my playing and my face at the same time. It's my accident I have become even more antisocial than I was before, which is saying something since I'm pretty introverted. Good luck with your videos. I'll post on here if I end up creating any videos.

Other than that right now I'm playing games on my computer using kinesic mouse which uses a Kinect or Intel's real sense camera which does 3-D cameras to map your face and allows you to use facial expressions to control your mouse and play games by assigning keyboard commands to facial gestures such as smiling or raising an eyebrow.

Some of the games I play right now are Diablo 3 and Hearthstone with the account name Stronghammer #1203. Some other games I played are games like civilization v, plague Inc, agario, and some other simple games.

Hey I am a c4 and recently I have been having a bunch of fun playing Diablo 3. World of Tanks is pretty easy also. Then if you're up for it games like Ninja Gaiden are good also. Most of these games only require 1 joystick at a time, making it great for the quad stick

Yeah Diablo is a good one the second joystick is just to dodge. I have it set up so if you move the QS past a certain percentage it activates the right stick to dodge then if you keep holding it you just run. It was Freds idea and works really well. I can share my profile if anyone wants. Another one joystick game I strongly recommend is Towerfall.

I'd love to see that profile.  In the File->Share... menu, you can pick "Get a shareable link" and people can view, but not change, your spreadsheet.

Here is the profile for 360 or PS3. I made it specifically for the Demon Hunter but it should be a good general setup for all characters. I would maybe suggest setting mp_center_sip to latch after 4-5 seconds because sometimes with Demon Hunter you have to stand there for a while just firing bolts into enemies.

What does the greater then 99 thing mean. Do you know how many profiles you can have within a csv file/spreadsheet, I thought QS only had 5 modes, yet i see 6 tabs in that first linked spreadsheet. I know it has 5 lights but how many more modes can you put on a spreadsheet?

To the OP, I don't know about consoles but for PC you could get a mic and set up voice commands using a software program (there are free and inexpensive ones) and/or get a head control mouse. You can even use other software to reconfigure mice, head mice, joysticks, controller or whatever. You can also use a program thats free to have multiple mice each with with it's own individual cursor.  Using something along with your QS should give you even more freedom

16 Modes sheets (or tabs) max in a configuration.  64 rows max in a mode sheet.  512 configuration files in the a flash drive.  Only the first 32 configuration files are available using the side tube load method.

The LED pattern for displaying mode or file numbers after 1 through 5 is:

6-9    purple led on in fifth position
10-14  blue led on in fifth position
15-19  red led on in fifth position
20-24  all blue leds on
25-29  blue 1-4 on, purple on in 5th
30-32  all red leds on

"greater than 99" turns on the output when the inputs gets to 100%.  Is sometimes used for auto-sprint when the output is the sprint button and the input is "up".  In this case, probably some kind of double stick move.

Nah it's not a move where you need to use both sticks or anything like that. The left stick is to run and the right stick is to do a dive roll to dodge. Once you dive roll though, if you keep holding it at 100% you just run instead of dive rolling over and over, so it works out nicely. It was actually your idea to set it up like that Fred. Made the game much easier.

So I have been playing don't starve on PlayStation 4 and been having a great time. I should've posted this a few days ago because it was on sale as a digital download for like $3.75 but I think it is still under $15. I made up a profile that allows you to play pretty much the entire game without having to switch tabs. Here's the profile I made, I hope you like it. Https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1iFgpLvONJcUPvVdBk3qSVkBvHuM9Xwil2pwYQ5lUGyk/edit?usp=sharing.  Let me know what you think of the game and the profile if anyone decides to get it.

I just downloaded the demo for Final Fantasy XV on PS4 and from what I can see, with a decent custom profile, it should be a manageable game to play.

Hi Kasey,

The Witcher 3 I had no problem playing using the default settings on the quadstick on my PS4, I have clocked it twice now as what you complete the game it allows you to save with your current inventory to start again, totally awesome adult game definitely not for kids

Cheers Richard

I came across this list of games recommended by the charity Child's Play.

http://childsplaycharity.org/assets/downloads/booklet.pdf

They are focused on games suitable for children, but a couple of my favorites are on the list (Journey and Portal 2).  If you are looking for game ideas to play with a kid, you might find something in there.

So I came across a couple more good games that would be enjoyable to play after a script has been made for them. Tabletop racing world tour and tropico 5 which are both free this month for PlayStation plus members.

I have been playing Dark Souls 3 quite a bit it works very well with only one joystick and a slight modification to button mapping depending on preference. I have been playing on PlayStation 4 which allows custom button mapping from the PlayStation but all I do is switch my R1 with X & L 1 with square. I am able to easily play as well as others online without any large modification

Xbox game pass is offering a free trial for Gold members until the first of June. It is offering some good classics like the Bioshock games and the remastered version of the original Resident Evil. It's a good chance to try some older classics you may have missed out on. If you like post apocalyptic open world games I'd suggest the Mad Max game, I found it really fun.

There's a PC game called the Legend of heroes: trails in the sky which can be played start to finish with just a mouse but you can use keyboard hotkeys to make the game go a little quicker. I figured if anyone wanted something immersive but easy to play they could try this out. I haven't played this game yet but according to this post in the steam forum https://steamcommunity.com/app/251150/discussions/0/38596747872610976/  you can play the whole game entirely with the mouse.

Runescape can be played entirely with a mouse, but you'd have to be insanely good at using the QS as a mouse to play it if you're going to be any good at the game and not lose your mind at the grinding and levelling. Some of the bosses and the PVP require you to be really quick and some of the skills are incredibly click heavy. I really can't recommend it unless you have a ridiculous amount of time and patience.
