I'm playing F1 2015 on PS4 and the default settings for acceleration and braking is R2 & L2 (like in most racing games).
For Need For Speed it's no problem, but I can't accelerate smooth like it's possible with the controller, it's directly 100% pressed.
When I change game settings to accelerateand brake with joystick instead of the buttons it's like it should be: soft movement = soft acceleraion.
I thought it's possible to control it up and down with rising pressure on buttons, isn't it? Or am I getting too confused because of a lot stress at the moment? ^^
If it would be possible to "delayed_latch" joystick movement it would be good too.
Thanks a lot.

Unlike the PS3, where every button was analog, on the PS4 (and XBox), only the L2, R2 and joysticks axis are analog.  If you are using remapping inside the PS4 to custom remap buttons, they will only see buttons like Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle, L1, R1, L3, R3 as discrete on/off buttons.

The sip&puff sensors are analog, just like the joystick and they can be mapped to an analog axis like L2 & R2 or a joystick axis.

The various pressure thresholds are adjustable in the QMP.   If the input does not use soft sip/puff, you can adjust the SIP/PUFF Threshold down to the Soft SIP/PUFF Threshold for a greater range of pressures.
