Hello everyone,
I tried searching the forum for any info on this but couldn't find anything...
I've been tinkering around with trying to get basic music controls with keyboard inputs. My main goal here is play/pause, next song, previous song, vol up, vol down. Anyone have any advice or expertise on this subject? Maybe there's a better way doing this using windows shortcuts?
Been trying this on Amazon music on PC with no luck.
Using this profile... 4th tab

Thank you!

Hi,

I'm not sure how you would do media controls for a web based service like Amazon music (or Spotify etc).

The only shortcuts I've found are for Windows Media Player.

Chrome browser does have a little control panel that allows you to play / pause & skip media.

Firefox has limited support for this kind of thing also.

The way I play / pause & adjust volume is using my on screen keyboard.

It's a program called Comfort OSK, I've created a custom KB layout (here) with media controls that you just place the file in this folder (C:>Program Files>ComfortKeyboard>Keyboards).

This probably isn't the exact answer you were seeking, but it may give some other solutions to your problem.

Understandable, Must just be a compatibility issue between the keyboard and Amazon music.
I will definitely be checking out comfort osk! That sounds really helpful and customizable to certain needs.
Thank you very much!

https://support.spotify.com/us/article/keyboard-shortcuts/

You just have to search for the program name and then keyboard shortcuts/hotkeys in a search engine like Google.
