Hi,
(I sent this message to Fred through the contact form on the website, but I figured I would ask it here also in case someone knows the answer.)
I'm working on a new adaptive gaming setup and had a question about using the Xbox Adaptive Controller with the QuadStick.
I'm considering the following configuration:
Console (Xbox or Nintendo Switch)
Brook adapter (Wingman XB3 on Xbox, appropriate adapter on Switch)
QuadStick
Brook Wingman XE connected to the QuadStick's USB-A host port
Xbox Adaptive Controller connected through the Wingman XE
Two USB analog joysticks connected to the Xbox Adaptive Controller
My main question is:
If I connect the Xbox Adaptive Controller this way, will the QuadStick recognize both analog sticks (along with the XAC's buttons and switch inputs) and merge them into the QuadStick's controller output? In other words, will the console see everything as a single controller provided by the QuadStick, rather than as two separate controllers?
The reason I'm asking is that I've been using Xbox Copilot with the QuadStick and Xbox Adaptive Controller, but I've run into compatibility issues with some games (for example, Star Wars Outlaws). I'm hoping to avoid Copilot entirely if the QuadStick can use the XAC as an input device through the Wingman XE.
Has this configuration been tested before, or would you expect it to work?
Thank you very much for your time, and thanks for all the work you've put into the QuadStick. It's made a huge difference for me.
