Good day to everyone!
I have quite an annoying and mysterious problem with my Singleton, I'd be glad and thankful for help with...
When I start the computer, everything works all right, but after a while in-game (in any game, as far as I observed), the joystick horizontal axis becomes messed up somehow, gets much less responsive towards inputs like W, E, SE and when I switch back to the default scheme, the mouse pointer has a weird momentum as if sliding on ice.. but again, only when I move the joystick left or right. Up and down directions are perfectly fine.

Restarting the computer is only a temporary solution, I also tried to fiddle with the deadzones a bit, which didn't seem to work either.

What might possibly be the cause of this?

Send in a debugging report with QMP:
  1. Plug the Quadstick into the PC
  2. Start QMP
  3. Wait 20 seconds
  4. Press F1 key
  5. Answer prompt to send in the debugging report
  6. EXIT QMP.  Ignore any error message.
  7. Send me an email so I know to go look for the report.

Well... unfortunately, I'm back with this thing. Updating QMP didn't do the trick, I also tried turning on and off various settings in the misc tab, to no effect as well.
At least now I can confirm that unplugging and plugging the Quadstick back clears the problem for a while, the same way restarting does, and that it gets worse over time the Quadstick (or computer?) is operational.

Your problems are similar, but not necessarily the same.

Odjinud: You never sent in the debugging report so I can't positively identify your telemetry, but make sure you are running the latest firmware (2328) and that your center dead-zone setting is in the range of 0-2.

Fabrizio:  I thought you were going to send yours in for repair.

Oh.. I thought that the original debugging report made it through. I've just made another attempt then, at about 04:17 am Montana time, because updating firmware didn't make the difference.

Everything looks ok in the report.

In the past, non-software problems with an axis have been caused by a frayed wire or metallic debris clinging to the Hall effect sensor magnet.  In either case the device needs to be physically repaired.

Yea, today I experienced even continual mouse cursor drift to the side, less than ten minutes after startup. So.. now the course of action would be to get a tech-savvy friend or relative and have a look inside, right? Is there anything in particular I should be wary of, if/when it comes to that?

I think it is going to need to come here for repair.

So be it then, I'll send it for a trip as soon as possible. Which address should I fill in?
