This morning none of my buttons in the jacks were working. Tried doing firmware update. Now joystick doesn't seem to have firmware. It is not recognized by Windows as being a drive. When I tried reinstalling software, it had 3 choices. I chose all 3. Nothing is working. Please Help! This is my only way to access my computer. Thanks!

Uninstall HIDHide if it was installed and reboot.  Do not attempt to use it. HIDHide is a program to prevent anything but QMP from seeing the Quadstick.  Again, do not use it.

Is any other software that interacts with keyboards or game controllers installed, like re-WASD, X360CE, DS4-Windows, etc?

You will probably need to send it in if you can't get Windows to recognize it.

I uninstalled everything and installed the QMP.  When I go to firmware on QMP, it shows NONE for the current firmware version.  When I go to the right and select a firmware version to install, the button to download it to the quadstick is greyed out.  Is there some way I can get firmware into the quadstick by thumb drive or different way I can download something?  What needs to happen to get things working?  If I sent it in, what would you have to do?

QMP is not seeing the Quadstick's flash drive.

What does the Windows File Manager show?  Is there a "Quad Stick" drive?

If the Quadstick is operating with a blank configuration, it will have a basic mouse profile in mode 5.  The first four modes are a PS3 game controller.   This built-in failsafe configuration is similar to the original Default Configuration.

Bringing up https://test.quadstick.com and moving the joystick should show some activity in mode 1.

If there is no drive showing, you'll need to send it in.

The quadstick comes up as a drive, but then the joystick resets and it disappears from windows file manager and then comes up again as a drive.

Fully resetting with the complete light show, or just reconnecting on the USB with red lights #2 & #4?    If the quadstick is actually resetting, that could be a power or cable issue.   If it is the USB reconnecting a couple of times, that could just be Windows sorting things out.  If it continually reconnects on the USB, then there is something more serious wrong with it.

It stayed up long enough for you to get the test page up, so that's good.

What does QMP's transcript show?  You are looking for something like this:

Version: 4.04
QuadStick drive letter: F:
Using previously saved preference values
QuadStick Game Controller interface successfully opened
Virtual Gamepad disabled
Retrieved 296 game files
Retrieved 24 voice files

Quadsticks take about a month to deliver after ordering.  New units are put up for sale each Monday at noon eastern time.

Repairs are quicker than new units.

It is here.   The flash was corrupted.  My guess is something interrupted power while data was still being written to it, but we'll never know.

Anyway, I reformatted the flash, and updated the firmware.  I'm trying to determine what files you had in it before things went wrong so I can get it set up with a good set of config files.

This is all I can find so far:

If you want me to load those in, I can do that.  I think I've got a good set of preferences for the prefs.csv file.

I have all the actual game Google sheets backed up on my hard drive in a separate folder. I could somehow send them to you. Not sure if that helps or not. I use buttons because I can't put my tongue in my mouth to be able to use sip and puff. I press the buttons with my tongue.
I had my nurse fix one of my button holders, and when he plugged the splitter into the output jack. I tried to do a reinstall, not knowing that I chose to install HIDhide. I then I tried a firmware update. It got to saving something to a temporary folder. Then I think it said something about restoring files. At that point, it was in some kind of infinite loop. I had to unplug it after about 5 minutes.

You can zip them up and email them to me.

You'll have no need to update it anymore.  It is up to the latest.
