I don't understand the question.

Use the Lip button input jack with switches?  Yes, see the manual.

Add another hole to the mouthpiece?  There are four hole mouthpieces but that basically just incorporates the side tube into the mouthpiece.

Add a hole vertically below the center hole of the mouthpiece?   I don't think that would work, even if there was another analog input available.

Hey Fred, I would like to remove the lip button totally and replace it with a sip/puff switch to do the same job as the lip button I tried but it doesn't work I was going by the diagram in the manual should it work or should I use a different switch?
thanks

I'm still having trouble understanding what you are trying to do.

What sip/puff switch?  How is it connected?
What is the configuration spreadsheet?
What diagram in the manual?  What is the URL of the page of the manual?

lip sensor jack with 2 switches
I want to unplug the lip button and plug a sip/puff switch into it's place or one of the other holes on the back of the quadstick
I want the switch to do the same function as lip button but I want a sip/puff switch to do it's job
I hope that's clearer
thanks

If you are using the Lip input jack with two switches, you cannot use the input named "lip", it must not appear in the configuration file.  You will need to use the inputs named "digital_input_5" and "digital_input_6".

Also, the Lip sensor cannot be plugged into the Lip jack at power up if you are using switches for digital inputs.    The lip sensor is not just a switch and the quadstick detects the difference at power up.

If another IN jack is available, why not just use that?  It is simpler and doesn't have these other rules.
