One thing to remember is QMP assumes the Quadstick is connected prior to the launch of QMP, and remains connected for the entire run. If the Quadstick is disconnected, like by changing to a different emulation mode, like XBox 360 for PC, then QMP needs to be restarted. Also, while emulating an XBox 360, there is no flash drive access to allow QMP to make changes. Always return the Quadstick to its power up USB emulation (either 0 or 4), then re-start QMP.
It would be easy to leave QMP running, then change the USB mode while playing a game, the switching back to QMP and expect QMP to work. The problem is QMP only hunts out a connection to the Quadstick at start and if there is any disconnection, it won't automatically reconnect.
The next time it happens, send in a debug report before doing anything else.
Send in a debugging report with QMP:
- Plug the Quadstick into the PC
- Start QMP
- Wait 20 seconds
- Perform the operation that is giving you trouble.
- Click in the Transcript pane at the bottom of the window.
- Press F1 key
- Answer prompt to send in the debugging report
- EXIT QMP. Ignore any error message.
- Send me an email so I know to go look for the report.
