Is there a way to reinstall the Quadstick driver? It randomly stops responding for a few seconds

Do you have a lot of USB or things slowing down your computer? For example, I can replicate the slowdown by asking QMP to load while trying to use the QS at the same time as a mouse.

Oh! That might be a problem. I will get my partner to unplug something to test when they wake up.

There is no driver for the quadstick.  It uses what are called the default "boot" drivers which are common to all USB hosts.

Look at your USB Selective Suspend settings.  Since Windows sees the Quadstick as an unneeded flash drive, it can attempt to place it in standby to save power.  Windows doesn't realize that the Quadstick is also doing other things.

Make sure you are running the most recent firmware 2328.

Make sure USB Selective Suspend is disabled.

Check the three things mentioned in the middle of this article:

1) Disable the Selective Suspend feature

do this for every USB root hub device in the hierarchy.

2) Turn off Fast Boot.

3) Disable USB selective suspend feature
