Try restarting the computer and the quadstick.
The weird part is that exception is handled. It is after it has found the quadstick's flash drive, so we know there is a quadstick present just a few microseconds ago, and when it is reading the firmware version that is reported as a drive serial number. Even if something goes wrong there, it should just say None for the build number and continue.
Anything unusual about the computer or Windows it is running on? Running in a VM or something other than regular Windows 10 or 11?
