- Quadstick into the XAC.
- XAC needs a power supply
- Limited button support. Only 12 out of 16 buttons.
- Mapping of buttons gets complicated.
- No analog triggers from the Quadstick, just buttons for LT and RT.
- Example: XAC Left USB port
- XAC into the Quadstick
- Needs a Brook Wingman XE2 between the XAC and the USB-A port on the Quadstick.
- Allows all the XAC buttons and joysticks to be used within the Quadstick configuration file
- Example: XAC via Wingman XE tester
- Xbox Controller Assist, formerly known as Copilot on either console or PC
- Requires a Brook Wingman XB3 adapter between the Quadstick and the console or PC.
- Only works with XBox One type controllers, not XBox 360 type.
- Does not work with QMP 4 virtual XBox controller on the PC
- Mapping of buttons gets complicated.
You mention the XE2, if you have that, I'd recommend going with method 2, the XAC into the USB-A port on the Quadstick, via the XE2, since that gives you full access to all the inputs inside the Quadstick, but you will still need a Brook Wingman XB3 or a Mayflash Magic-X adapter for the Quadstick to XBox console connection. A power supply for the XAC is probably not a bad idea if anything is plugged into its USB ports.
