Hi everyone,

I’m new to the QuadStick and still learning how to set everything up. I’ve noticed that on my device, none of the three profile boxes seems to have any files in them. From what I’ve read, it seems like there should always be a factory profile available by default, so I’m wondering if something might be wrong or if I’ve missed a step.

Also, I’d really appreciate some guidance on which profile would work best for playing Kingdom Come Deliverance and how I can properly set it up. If there are recommended profiles or setup instructions for that game, I’d love some advice or links to resources.

Thanks so much for your help!

I'm not familiar with the game, but you should be able to see a list of game files in the middle pane of the games tab of QMP, and if a Quadstick is plugged in prior to launching QMP, you should see a list of the current configurations in the left pane that are installed on your quadstick.  The right pane will be empty until you add your own list.

If you are not seeing anything in the center pane, check to see if your computer has a firewall that blocks access to the internet, or that the computer is simply not connected to the network.

I've been killing my head over this, I disabled all firewalls and it's definitely connected to network. I have no idea what's wrong

This is what you should see in the lower left corner of the QMP window, with no quadstick attached:

Version: 4.04
QuadStick drive letter: F:
Loaded preferences OK
QuadStick Game Controller interface successfully opened
Virtual Gamepad disabled
Retrieved 296 game files
Retrieved 24 voice files

I've highlighted the text that is displayed when the file lists are read from the server.

Can you identify your order?  This email address does not match any order.

In the meantime, send in a debug report with QMP.

How to send in a debugging report with QMP:
  1. Plug the Quadstick into the PC
  2. Start QMP
  3. Wait 20 seconds
  4. Click in the Transcript pane at the bottom of the window.
  5. Press F1 key
  6. Answer prompt to send in the debugging report
  7. EXIT QMP.  Ignore any error message.
  8. Send me an email so I know to go look for the report.

Please send in the debug report so I can take a look at what QMP is seeing.

These configuration spreadsheets should be showing up in the list on the right side:

These are showing up in your Quadstick and should be listed on the left side:

It would appear that you are not using QMP to download the configuration files.  They are apparently being downloaded as CSV files and then manually copied over to the Quadstick using Windows file explorer.

This causes a couple of problems.  The CSV filename for the Mouse spreadsheet is being modified by Windows from "default.csv" to "default (1).csv".  This will not work correctly.   The filename in the Quadstick must be exactly "default.csv", not something else.

default.csv is a special file.  It will be loaded at power up.  Since your quadstick does not have a default.csv file, it will load something else, or nothing at all.   If the configuration file loaded at power up is using a USB emulation mode the does not allow access to the flash drive, the QMP will not be able to make any changes to the configuration files until flash drive access is restored.

I don't see a prefs.csv file.  That is another required file.

To avoid this, use the Download to Quadstick with QMP command in the spreadsheet's add-on menu and follow the instructions for setting the sharing property.

Once a spreadsheet has been downloaded with QMP, then future changes to the spreadsheet can be copied to the quadstick by selecting the spreadsheet in any list on the Games tab of QMP and pressing the Download button.

If you want to restore it to factory settings with a Mouse default, I will attach a ZIP file with the files that are in new Quadsticks set up for the PC when they leave here.  Replace the files in the Quadstick's flash with the CSV files in the ZIP file to get a set of configuration files that match this document:  PC Quickstart  The last page of that will list the configuration files.

Hitclic usually orders Quadsticks set up for game consoles.  This ZIP file is for Quadsticks that are initially used with PCs.  Same files, just ordered differently.

So to fix this, I just need to replace the files on the Quadstick’s flash drive with the ones from the ZIP you sent. That will restore it to the correct factory setup. After that, I’ll make all future downloads directly through the QMP app. I only tried copying files manually before because I was worried about breaking something, last time I ran into an issue where the firmware got erased.

All the configuration information is stored the CSV files in the flash drive.  Keep a backup copy of your configuration files in a folder on your PC when making changes so you can quickly recover if things go wrong.

There is no reason to change the firmware.  2365 is fine.

It looks like you installed HID Hide.  That can sometimes cause problems.  I don't recommend installing it unless you specifically know you need to use it and that it will work to solve a problem with a specific game that cannot be solved some other way.  I would uninstall it and reboot.  I don't leave it installed on my computer.

Understood. I'm just worried about the missing factory profiles. I wonder if my PC is blocking something somehow.

Also, I actually bought the Quadstick to play on PS, but I've had a lot of trouble with PS4, even following all the steps on the guide, the controller keeps disconnecting. Maybe I should get a Cronusmax?

Turn off the Titan Two flag and save preferences for the PS4.  If you don't, in about 7.5 minutes everything will stop working.  The T2 flag was on in the debug report.

If you want a low hassle PS4 setup, use a Brook Wingman XE2 in place of the DS4 plugged into the back of the Quadstick.

Cronus Zen and Titan Two are more complicated to use.

I was able to restore the factory profiles with the help of David from HitClic by doing a simple thing that I overlooked. I just ran it as administrator. But now when I connect to PS4, it doesn't work at all, it recognizes the controller but I cannot use it. Am I the unluckiest user to ever buy it?
