It downloads OK to my quadstick.

After the CSV file is downloaded, you must select it using the side tube to make it active.

I'm not sure what it could be then. This has never happened before.

Send in a debugging report with QMP:
  1. Plug the Quadstick into the PC
  2. Start QMP
  3. Wait 20 seconds
  4. Perform the operation that is giving you trouble.
  5. Click in the Transcript pane at the bottom of the window.
  6. Press F1 key
  7. Answer prompt to send in the debugging report
  8. EXIT QMP.  Ignore any error message.
  9. Send me an email so I know to go look for the report.
In addition to the debug report, after exiting QMP, send me an email with the QMP log file attached.  The log is stored at this location:

"C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Temp\quad_stick_log_file.txt"

You can copy that string, including the quote marks, into the File name field of the Attachment dialog box that will pop up when you click on the Attachment icon:

Send that file to me directly, not to the forum.  I'll see if there are any error messages logged when you try to download the file to the quadstick.

You are running old firmware and old QMP.  Try updating the firmware to 2365 or later.

The error message I am seeing is:  IOError(13, 'Permission denied')  which some people have reported previously, but only one person ever followed up and their flash drive had too many files in it.  If there are any files besides the CSV files in the flash, remove them with the Windows file manager.   If you can update the firmware, that will clear out any non-CSV files.

The firmware does not update. I just get the hourglass. How would I know if I'm over storage?

Open the Windows File Manager program on the Quadstick's flash drive, right click on it and choose Properties:

Send a screen grab of the Properties:

I'm curious what the Free space is.

If something has filled the drive, and you cannot figure out what it is or how to remove it, we can back up the prefs.csv, default.csv and mouse.csv files to a folder on your computer, then force the quadstick to erase and reformat the flash drive: https://erase.quadstick.com then copy the three CSV files back to the Quadstick.  It should be possible to update the firmware after that.

Something is blocking writing to the drive.  2 meg free means it is basically empty.

Before we have the quadstick reformat the drive, see if you can copy a small txt file to it.  See if you get an error message.

Back up your CSV files while you are inspecting it with the file manager.
