Adds support for the following devices on the USB-A port Host mode:

*The HORI controllers cannot be used for PS4 authentication.

**The Brook Wingman XE can be used for PS4 authentication.
  • Eliminates the hassle of the DS4/PS4 setup complexities.
  • Regardless of the console, it adapts many different controllers to the USB-A port, including the XBox Adaptive Controller, so the XAC controls can now be used internally within Quadstick configurations.

that's so cool! i always enjoy updates whenever another one pops out. Could the brooks be used with remote play on pc for simple plug n play?

Unfortunately only Sony brand controllers will work with PS Remote Play, except for the ViGEmBus virtual DS4 controller which fools Windows into reporting a Sony Dual Shock 4 is connected.

Some people use the Wingman XE between the Quadstick and the PS4 or PS5(PS4 games only) console, to avoid the authentication headaches, but you don't have direct access to the touchpad or motion controls.  They have a remapping process with some limited support for those controls, but it is not 100% access you have when directly connected.

This use-case is for using it as a PS4 "authentication dongle", and/or adapting unsupported devices to the Quadstick's USB-A port.  It adapts everything I've tried here.  Wish I had thought of this earlier.

Just realised I sent this as a PM here it is again for everyone.
I'm using this firmware with a Wingman XE with a XAC and Ultrastik plugged into it.

Some of the Axes dont show up like the ones for the right joystick and RT LT. Share and PS/Xbox also don't have an assigned usb button.
Ports in the above photo are labelled usb_1_button_1 through 16.

See the USB Host DS4 tester configuration for how the buttons map from a Dualshock 4.

The right joystick and a couple of buttons show up on usb_2_... inputs.

I've just confirmed they all come through correctly from a DS4, a Hori Minipad directly, and a Hori Minipad+XE, and a XBox Controller+XE.

The XE will remap the View/Share button to the Touchpad.  To output a View/Share button, a combination of the View and Menu buttons must be pressed at the same time.  See the XE manual for all the details, and how to do different touchpad positions:  https://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/87495367/

Using the XAC with the Wingman XE, I see both axes OK.

The triggers don't come through as analog, just as buttons.   Their analog axis values will snap between 0 & 100%, with nothing in between.
