Strange issue in Fifa 22/23 menus

I play Fifa 22 & 23 on PC with QS in Xbox mode and have a strange issue in the menus but it's intermittent.

In some of the menus when you have to use the left stick to move to the item you want to select (for example pick the training session out of the 3 choices, or  move along the FUT moments timeline) the QS gets stuck on the central choice and won't move and stay on the next choice instead it very quickly flicks back and fourth between the two items.  Even on a line of items it will get stuck on one and just flick back and fourth, it won't continue along the items.  Changing mode sheets doesn't fix it, I have to change configuration files.

So far I've only had the problem in Fifa 22/23.  Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

I have a similar issue it would skip over my selection, so now i use the mouse in menu and switchback to xbox mode after
