URGENT ALERT: Ask House to keep bicycling in MO transportation funding

[URGENT ADVOCACY ALERT - PLEASE SHARE WIDELY THROUGH 10 APRIL 2014]

Today is Bicycle and Pedestrian Day at the Capitol and we're walking the halls of the Capitol and riding the streets of Jefferson City with our elected representatives.

Last week, a Missouri House member proposed an amendment to eliminate bicycling from the $8 billion Missouri Transportation Funding proposal.  We need your help to put a stop to this.

The vote on the Amendment is Monday evening or Tuesday. Even if you have called or emailed before, please do it again now (unless you are sure your Rep will vote in support of bicycling).

Call or email your State Representative, contact info below, with this simple message:

I support including bicycling in HJR 68, the transportation funding bill, and I urge you to vote against Rep. Paul Curtman's amendment ( 5302H02.01F) to remove bicycling from the HJR 68.

NOTES

 * Calling is most effective at this point--it will take about a minute, you'll talk with a staff member, and they will take your message.

 * But email is OK, too--please cc: dire...@mobikefed.org on your message--it really helps to know how many people are contacting their legislators.

 * Please be polite and persuasive when you call or email--we need friends in the Missouri House on these issues!
