"Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" Theme Pack for Quadra

Folks,

I'm guessing that this is the first "real" theme pack ever released
for Quadra <G>.

Directly from the included readme:

This archive contains a new theme pack for version 1.1.8 (or newer) of
Ludus Design's EXCELLENT "Quadra" Tetris-styled tetromino game. Find
out more about this great freeware Tetris game at http://www.ludusdesign.com
or http://quadra.sourceforge.net on the Internet!

The theme pack consists of ten new background images created using a
selection of the surrealistic landscape background images from PopCap
Games' "Bejeweled 2 Deluxe" game for the PC. In addition, all of the
tetrominoes for the game have been changed to Tetris "Guideline"
colors.

Also included are replacement sound effects for the game. The game's
original sound effects have been converted to stereo for a fuller and
richer sound, with minor editing to the overall volumes.

Since 1.2.0 is not out yet, and I guess SourceForge is where you can
find the 1.1.8 release, you could keep that reference (but in the
future, we'll be finishing the move to Google Code), but references to
Ludus Design and ludusdesign.com are probably old history, by now. :-)

The name sticks mainly because it's "burned into" a number of images
in the game, and we're pretty lazy. ;-)

I suppose we're just the Quadra community, now, there isn't any kind
of "Quadra Foundation" or anything like that. :-)

Hehe, that's already in the works :) I've saved several files that I
plan on zipping up, sort of a skinning "template" and help of sorts
(various PNG format images, palettes, tet-color palette documentation,
Paint Shop Pro "selection" and layered files, etc...). BTW, this will
give you an idea of what the template contents will be similar to, the
readme to a skinning template (with included files) for "LockJaw" ->

A-OK, thanks for the info :) For any future theme packs that I create,
I'll edit the URL in the included readme(s) :) That readme is sort of
a template that I've been using for years now for various things that
I've released on the Internet, another example here ->

P.S. @All, Look for a release of the afore-mentioned theme templates
and documentation within the next few days... I'm currently typing up
some files documenting the sound effects (what sound file does what),
various palette indexes (just finished creating an image detailing/
showing most of the palette stuff), Wadder .RES compiling
instructions, creating additional layered Paint Shop Pro PSP and SEL
playfield/pit templates, and such :)

The colors of the pieces are all wrong
the sticks are cyan...
should be green etc.
I can't begin to put 2 pieces down before misdropping
otherwise it looks great, but can't play it =/

I'm wondering where did we took the colors initially for Quadra.
According to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris we are not using "standard" color.
However I kinda remember the 'stick' being green..

Folks,

I just created and uploaded a new version (2.0) of my Bejeweled 2
Deluxe Theme Pack; adding a seperate theme with Quadra colored
tetrominoes (@10 0-9, have fun!), a splash screen, and a new mouse
cursor :)

File links are the same as contained in my first message post at the
top of this thread.
