My father brought home a cell phone he found in the woods, and I thought I'd charge it and turn it on to see if I can find out anything about the owner. (Needless to say I got no further than the lock screen.)
The phone is now turned off and plugged in via USB (not connected to the computer, but directly to the electrical outlet). However, the screen now reads "Firmware Update - do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete", with a progress bar stuck at zero. It also refuses to be turned on again.
What's the best course of action? That is, can I safely unplug the device? I would assume so since it's only connected to the electrical outlet, but who knows what's going on behind the scenes, and unplugging it may leave it in an inconsistent state. I'd also like to avoid connecting it directly to my computer.
I'm probably being overly cautious, but I have no experience with LG devices and it's someone else's to boot, so I'd like to make sure I'm not making any of the stupid mistakes I'm prone to making. Better safe than sorry.
Once when I plugged the LG phone to give it a full charge, it did this firmware update stuck on 0% thing. I fixed it by just holding the power button on the right and the volume up button on the left for a few seconds. It reboots just fine.
Take out the battery while it is plugged into a laptop, computer, or maybe the wall, then leave it out for a few seconds. A battery with a red exclamation point should show up and that is when you insert the battery and turn it back on.
"Firmware Update - do not unplug the USB connection until the process is complete", stuck on 0% while plugged into charger all night long without any progress, no response from any button or button combination; not even 2 minutes of holding down the power button. I have no idea how it got to that state. I think it happened at low battery level.
What worked for me :Remove plastic snap on back cover. Remove the tiny screws and remove the plastic part to get to the battery. The battery didnt appeared to be removable, but at the top left a flat short cable pops out of the battery and its terminal can be unplugged. Just slide your fingernail under and the tiny plug detaches without lots of pulling force. I waited some 10seconds and plugged the battery back in. Et voila the phone screen went straight into normal startup. The battery level at that stage were 11% (so not flat at all)

After taking an Android 13 update and successfully booting the device postupdate, an Android 12 build resides in the inactive slot (seamless updatesfor more information on slots) of the device. The inactive slot contains anolder bootloader whose anti-rollback version has not been incremented.If the active slot is then flashed with a build that fails to boot, thefallback mechanism of seamless updates kicks in and the device tries toboot from the inactive slot. Since the inactive slot contains the olderbootloader, the device enters an unbootable state.
To avoid hitting this state, if you are flashing a Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, orPixel 6 Pro device with an Android 13 build for the first time, pleaseflash the bootloader partition to the inactive slot after successfullyupdating and booting into Android 13 at least once. This can be done byfollowing these steps:
Option 1 (recommended):After a successful boot into Android 13 for the first time, sideload thefull OTA image corresponding tothat build and reboot the device to ensure that both slots have a bootableimage.
Extract the contents of the factory ROM .zip file, identify thebootloader image in the extracted files, and follow the sequence of eventsas listed below to flash the bootloader to both the slots. Substitute thename of the bootloader image with that of your device for the Pixel 6 andPixel 6a.
Flash the Android 13 bootloader to the inactive slot. The following commandis specific to a particular build of a Pixel 6 Pro device. Substitute thename of the bootloader image determined in the first step above, ifdifferent, for the image file name argument.
After flashing the inactive slot bootloader to an Android 13 bootloader,reboot to that slot to ensure that the bootloader will be marked asbootable. On my initial build of the ICS filesystem, /etc/firmware didn't exist (and the etc directory seems to be a symbolic link created at boot/init time). The directory I had to place firmware in on my NFS mounted rootfs was /system/etc/firmware
When I plugged my device (USB-RS232 converter, Digi International EdgeportTI1 port adapter) on my Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2), he was unable to find his firmware in "linux android adapted directories".So, like you, I tried to put my "down3.bin" in:

I switched on zwift hub, its blinking blue and companion ap is open, nothing is happening, that zwift hardware tab is not showing up.
I think others on this forum have deleted the app and reinstalled and tried firmware updates (although you have to connect first to do that). Try that. If still no joy, you should contact Zwift directly.
For me too, the last update of the firmware of the Seestar (1.6.1) stops the application and the firmware's update fails. From now, I can't use my Seestar. I sent a bug report to ZWO and I am waiting for a solving.
My phone is still running Android 13 however, so I decided to connect it to the Seestar and see if the firmware update would succeed. I'm happy to report that it did! When I reconnected to the tablet, everything was normal and the latest firmware - v2.42 - was shown.
If you're having similar issues, check the Android version of your device. If it's Android 14 that's probably the reason. Hopefully ZWO will be able to find and implement a solution before the next update.

After update Seestar software , fail to update firmware.
I don't use Station Mode.
Select 5GHz, failed.
uninstall and re-install Seestar software, failed.
Now I cann't use Seestar.
The fact that the firmware update is mandatory is really not satisfactory, at the begining it is not required, once a lot of device are updated without any issue, you can force it, but not on the first day, please.
I tried using the firmware option from the menu as well but it all ends up the same ... the progress screen pops up sits at 0% for a bit then the app reverts to the home screen, after a few seconds the Update Firmware popup shows and the whole things starts again.
It seems to be a specifically Android related issue. I'm too scared to update right now, but I use iPhone. I wonder if any of you guys with this problem would have the option to update the FW on your Seestars with an Apple device? Maybe that would get you over the line and imaging again...

The bug causing the crash seems to be triggered by local library music. And the local library music does not need to playing, it simply needs to be in the queue of the currently selected Sonos device.
The web app also seems to be all kinds of broken, so now to do anything I have to go to the one Windows PC in the house, start whatever I want playing, then run back to the room where I wanted to hear it. Jeez, great job, Sonos. WTF is going on over there?
zero UAT and zero qc. i installed the old android app on my phone so i could get old functionality and that has been working since the trash upgrade. recently i spent hours trying to figure out how to get my pc library to load and finally got it to work. not even a week later it forced me to update to the new android app version which cant handle playing from my library. just crashing over and over. and yes I turned auto update off for android play store, this happened anyways.
