Problems Running Schrodinger on Samba itself

It has come to my attention that some people are having problems
running the schrodinger suite on Samba itself.
I can run schrodinger/maestro from my laptop and submit jobs to the
queue (via samba) just fine (they finish successfully). But when I
try to run schrodinger/maestro on samba itself, it appears to have
some issues.
I am looking into this and will try and figure out what is going on.
