1. License server is working.

2. Do not reset or stop the license server! (e.g. "$SCHRODINGER/
licadmin STOP")

Schrodinger was telling people to turn off the license server (and
presumably to turn it on again), but when they were turning on the
license server, it was done incorrectly and listening to the wrong
port. Ergo, no one could communicate with the license server, even
though the server WAS running.

3. Please test your individual installations. I have mine working on
my laptop.

Hi Mark,

Thank you for taking care of this issue. The installation on the HPC works fine for me.

With best regards,

I have found a minor issue. Apparently, it overwrote the information about the local host (schrodinger.host I think). I remember this file had to be edited, but I'm not sure how to edit it - what information I need to include. Do you have a copy I could look at at?

Thanks,
Alison

Are we having more license issues today? I just tried to start a calculation and got a license error, but both of the calculations I started yesterday are still running. I tried to see how many tokens are being used and it says 0, but this is the first time I've tried to see that since we got our new license.

We are experiencing the same issues. It was working earlier this morning, but something happened within the last half hour(ish) that is now preventing us from starting new jobs or even opening Maestro. We have confirmed the same error on both the HPC and my local laptop. Any ideas?

I just sent the license to Erik Deumens yesterday. He likely
installed the new license, and you may simply need to be using the new
license too. I will try to forward the license. you may get it from
Erik Deumens or Nihan. I'm sending this from my phone, and I don't
have easy access to everything right now.

No - I haven't gotten a copy of the new license (or instructions on where to find it).

You should be able to get the license which is now installed on the HPC in /apps/shared/merz/schrodinger2011/. If you move that license to your local computer you should be able to load Maestro and start running jobs again.
