QTP version = 9.2
IE version = 6.0 SP1

Their is a script which invokes a IE and performs operation on the
application.. there is no specific point where this IE crashed.. but
all of the sudden the IE crashes.. giving error like "IE encountered
error and its closing", Error module = mshtml.dll.

I have download one patch from microsoft which says to solve
mshtml.dll problem. But still this problem exist.

Did someone face this error currently or before... got any workaround
on this?

I have tried these workaround.

1. Instead of invoking an IE, i have used systemutil to open IE
process in its own thread.
2. Installed the patch on OS.
3. wherever the error comes.. use to put wait on or before the
statement. but since this is not consistent.. no use.

Hopes some replies from QTP guru's

Thanks

Hi Tanveer,

This is the known issue, and HP has provided IE crash patch for this, you should contact to HP for installing IE crash patch for QTP 9.2.

Thanks,
