Hi muhammad

Qtilities uses Qt's plugin loading mechanism internally. It basically adds extra functionality. If you look at the extension system article in the Qtilities docs you will see what exactly it adds. I would strongly recommend to use it if you want to build something big like Qt Creator.

Let me know if there are more questions.
Cheers,
Jaco

Subject: Qt Application Plugin based

Howdy,

I want to build an application supports plugins (similar to FireFox, Qt Creator, Chromium.. etc). Does Qtilities help me out to create this kind of Qt applications? if yes, Which one is better to use (for saving time and stability) Qtilities plugin mechanism or Qt's default mechanism (as mentioned in this article)? in case it's better to use Qtilities, Do I’ve to make all GUI based on Qtilities or I can just use the part I need from Qtilities?

Thanks for help in advanced.

Hi Muhammad

As Simon said, yes just use the parts you need. Qtilities is the same as Qt, each lib exports a number of classes and you can use any of those classes.

Cheers
Jaco
