JFYI, I tried to build from scratch qtcontribs with newer versions of MinGW and Qt.
The build seems to end fine, but hbIDE crashes on start with:

Maybe it is uninfluent, but I noticed that mingwm10.dll isn't included in the mingw 4.7.2 distro, so the version used is still from 4.6.1 and could be misaligned with other dll.
Just my doubt.
Anyone did a try with 4.7.2? Anyone can confirm the lack of this dll from the distro?
TIA.

I think you will have to pick this .dll from Qt distro/bin.

I think not.
The problem is that mingw 4.7.2 suppressed this DLL, but last version of qt is still based on older version and requires it. I already tried to supply the DLL from qt distro but don't worked.
It's a very annoying question because the last mingw is dramatically cutting the building times.

Just to spend a journey...
Maybe I'll try this weekend.
Thanks.
Maurizio

PS: today you should be busy with pie, candles and champagne, not with qt...

I never used QT's mingw: when used, I got errors. I have used official
MinGw or Harbour distribution to compile my Harbour/Clipper program.
IMHO, the same problem there will be on Harbour: it can't use old
version for a long time.
Cheers
