Hi Pritpal,
as per subject, using MinGW 4.7.2 rev.11 and qt-windows-opensource-5.0.2-mingw47_32-x86 the build stops with:

hbide\bin\win\mingw\.hbmk\win\mingw\uic_selectsources.prg(120) Error E0039  Invalid alias expression ':'

TIA.

Can you check with Qt 5.0.1 before I look for possible reason.

The same error arises when I launch hbDBU.
In attachment the two logs for both qt version.
The 4.8.4 version builds and run fine, however.

No idea why it is happening.
I cannot reproduce on my laptop Windows 7 64-bits.

Interesting thing:

Harbour compiled with MinGW 4.6.1
QtContribs compiled with MinGW 4.7.1, officially in Qt build 5.0.1.

Applications get linked and executed.

My feeling is that you are using MinGW from its official site.
If yes, then be warned that it will not work. You need to use
MinGW supplied with Qt 5.0.1/2 SDK. There are few fixes
which are still not there on official site.

This seems to be the root cause of GPF.

Hi Massimo,
your sample is referred to MinGW 4.6.1 and Qt 4.8.3. I said that this case also here is working fine.
I'm trying to build Qt 5.0.1 or Qt 5.0.2 with MinGW 4.7.2 (or 4.8.0, that's not an official release but is anyway stable for Digia group).

"I'm trying to build Qt 5.0.1 or Qt 5.0.2 with MinGW 4.7.2 (or 4.8.0, that's not an official release but is anyway stable for Digia group). "
should be read as:

Hi Luigi,
about Qt 4.8.4 I haven't doubt. This is the screenshot of my smoothly working hbIDE:

Anyway I think that this form isn't plenty affordable as it's reporting only the MinGW compiler used to build Harbour and not the one used to build qtcontribs.
I need to use MinGW 4.6.1 to have a working hbIDE/hbDBU (other newer versions don't build a working executable), but my form is reporting 4.7.2 (used to build Harbour).
My tries to migrate to Qt 5.0.1 (or 5.0.2) was just to avoid this mixture of compilers, adopting only the 4.7.2 (and only sjlj build) for both Harbour and qtContribs.
So my question is:
what really is the minGW compiler you used to build qtContribs?
what's the downloaded distro (from official SF MinGW builds or from TDM)?
could be on my side an OS related issue (you're using XP, I'm using Win7/64bit)?

I was using only official MinGW distro, when tried to build qtContribs on Qt 5.0.x:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingwbuilds/files/host-windows/releases/4.7.2/32-bit/threads-posix/sjlj/x32-4.7.2-release-posix-sjlj-rev11.7z/download
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingwbuilds/files/host-windows/releases/4.8.0/32-bit/threads-posix/sjlj/x32-4.8.0-release-posix-sjlj-rev0.7z/download

In addition, the most recent working compiler for Qt 4.8.4 (obviously dwarf based) here is:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingwbuilds/files/host-windows/releases/4.7.1/32-bit/threads-posix/dwarf/x32-4.7.1-release-posix-dwarf-rev0.7z/download

The Harbour is from the last Git version  (r1303260358) and qtContribs from the last SVN one (r185:186M).

Thanks for your interest.
BR
Maurizio

version distribuited with Qt SDK  is not recommended from Viktor
version of mingw (4.6.2) integrated in harbour nigtly c:\hb32\comp\mingw  is made from viktor and very low in size unpacked 120 Mb instead 360 Mb
using this version we can give maximin compatibility with nigtly

I'm sorry, IMO is not true or must be interpreted.

I don't want give wrong informations to everyone but:

remember that (as I read somewhere on internet) the GCC version, to build your application (nb they are speaking about C program) using 4.8.x, was / is 4.4. PLEASE: take a look to the version: very different from Harbour distribution.
It's true that If you try to use MinGw from these SDKs 4.8.x (at least they have GCC < 4.6.2 ), you have errors: I tested it on my skin!
BUT there is an excpetion (I read somewhere on internet): you can use GCC 4.6.2 to build your application (nb they are speaking about C program) using QT 4.8.4 (I don't know/understand with previous). And is many time that I'm using it to compile Harbour and Qtcontribs.

Pay attention: with MinGw 4.6.2 C compiler some Harbour contrib library have problems (ie minilzo "Cannot export GetProcAddress")
.
I have posted this information on Harbour User list without receive any comment :(

At the same time, with MinGw 4.7.2 (see QtSdk tool)
I have:
- Related with minilzo
Cannot export GetModuleHandleW: symbol not found
Cannot export GetProcAddress: symbol not found
Cannot export MessageBoxW: symbol not found

I have posted this information on Harbour User list without receive any comment :(

version of mingw (4.6.2) integrated in harbour nigtly c:\hb32\comp\mingw  is made from viktor and very low in size unpacked 120 Mb instead 360 Mb
using this version we can give maximin compatibility with nigtly

This is not true: with nightly there is another version: TDM ( AFAIK is not the same as official MinGw "GCC" ); as I write in other post: remember me?
Is this one: g++ (tdm-1) 4.6.1-dw2.

I think can be a good think to write a very simple readme.txt and add to qtcontribs. We can write what are "the right versions to use" else we spend many time to write different post with the same arguments :) and different pov.

I suggest this list:
About Qt 4.8.2: MinGw (GCC) version tested are:.... downloaded from....
About Qt 4.8.3: MinGw (GCC) version tested are:.... downloaded from....
About Qt 4.8.4: MinGw (GCC) version tested are:.... downloaded from....
About Qt 5.0.1: MinGw (GCC) version tested are:.... downloaded from....

...and add: the best way is to download harbour sources, qtcontribs sources and compile all of them with UNIQUE compiler certified by Nokia/Digia related with QT library version.

Infact, we must suggest to use "official" qt release. Where is Qt 5.0.2? Probably is the next or a patch....

IMHO: qtcontribs is a good binding for Xbase? Well, I think must be registered on nokia developper list http://www.developer.nokia.com/ as new account (ie hbqt). To get official informations and support.
