(continuing the mailing-list-as-blog-theme ...)
I've been approached off-list by John Fabiani about writing PyQt and
SqlAlchemy stuff in dabo --
http://dabodev.com/ . I was quite happy
to see that somebody else is doing something like dabo and I was glad
to see it. At this point I have a project nearly done (I hope) that
relies on PyQtBindings so I do have some real commitment to the
current course of PyQtBindings. However, I believe that the goals of
dabo and the goals of pyqtbindings deserve serious consideration with-
in the same scope.
In my day job, I've been going down the road of OpenERP and it appears
to have yet another an entirely ORM/widget/binding layer. This seems
sad to me. I don't know if it is at all realistic to expect a grand
blissful union.
So, all that to conclude that I still plan to rename PyQtBindings to
QtAlchemy, but I haven't quite gotten the pieces to a state that I'd
like a name change to high-light.
