I made a small change to SqlalchemyAuthDialog so that it would connect to Firebird databases.

It works for me using Firebird-V2.5.1.26232 and latest Sqlalchemy-0.6.6

Thanks for the patch and the reminder that 'None' shows up in the edit fields.
I applied your patch and a follow-up that changes the default database type
back to sqlite.

Also note that I'm adding a new auth dialog which is more optimized for a
single database type. That will probably be wrapped up today.
