Hi everyone,
I am developing an messaging app based on MeeGo QMF, but no matter what versions of QMF I used, I always would encounter some blocking errors. I have tried many versions QMF, none of them work, the last one is 1.0.7~2011w13-2.1.i586.
For this version of QMF, when I triggered a folder list retrieval action for my mail account(IMAP), the message server would report a "ErrLoginFailed" error. I am sure my username and password are all right, and I also confirmed by using the native handset email app with same account, the native email app did not work either. I also used the message server observer tool to observer the status of message server, I found the observer did not find any error in message server.
I am not sure if this was a bug of my application or a bug of the QMF, so, can anyone provide some help? where can I get a QMF package that can work?

Best Regards
ApolloXue

For development, I highly recommend using:
https://qt.gitorious.org/qt-labs/messagingframework

There's an example program, that can send/recieve/view mails with IMAP called QtMail. You can use that to make sure everything is working fine.

If your code doesn't work with the above repository -- and you put together a small testcase, I'm more than happy to look at it..

But unfortunately I know nothing about any other version (e.g. meego sdk), so I can't help there.

Kind Regards,
Eric

Thanks for your reply, Eric
it looks very difficult to build QMF from the source since it has many dependencies, so, could you please send me a rpm of Qt QMF? I can replace my QMF with your rpm.

QtMail seems can not run in the MeeGo handset simulator.

Hi Apollo,

QMF should actually have very few dependencies. Just qt (devel), actually. So you can work with most servers, make sure you have a copy of qt with openssl :)
