Hi,

this is a more general question. I've started to use QSWAT+ and experience the issue that the  model often freezes and stops responding after a while (I am using a windows laptop with 16GB RAM). I assume this might be related to limited working memory or computing capacity. I am considering weather different versions of SWAT would need less capacity then using the QGIS interface. Could anybody give me advice on this and how a different set up (e.g. connecting QSWAT+ with executing SWAT via the console) would look like?
Maybe someone has already experienced similar problems. Thanks already for your help!

It is not clear to me what you mean. I suspect it is QSWAT+ that is
running slowly: delineation and the overlay of dem, soil and landuse to
create HRUs can run for some time. Look at the manual section on large
DEMs to get some idea of typical delineation processing times.

It is difficult to see how you could run SWAT without using QGIS first.
QGIS is needed to do delineation and then HRU creation, which is the
basic setup needed in order to run SWAT on a watershed. The production
of the visual data in QGIS is a small fraction of the processing time.

Come back to me if I have misunderstood your message.
