Dear all,

I tried to simulate flo_out for one river in Indonesia. When I compared it to the observed data, the graph looks like this:
PlotC.png
I changed the WGEN data several data (e.g., with estimated hhrmax, with missing value of -99 for hhrmax, with CSFR), but the simulated graph doesn't change much. There are still great gaps between the simulation and the observation.

1. Do you know what happened to my SWAT+ simulation?
2. I tried to calibrate it by using the open-source SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2, but the TextInOut of the SWAT+ doesn't have .mgt files. Does it mean the SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2 is not compatible for the SWAT+ model?
3. I cannot afford the paid SWATplus-CUP. Do you have suggestions on which software I can use to calibrate my SWAT+ model?

I tried to manually calibrate it by changing 15 parameters, including CN2 and OVN. The result doesn't change much as well (see the picture below). I'm not sure if the manual approach can help me. Tell me what you think.

Thank you.

Hi, I think you should check your rainfall data. With observed rainfall data, at least the peak will match.
I found the file structure of SWAT+ is totally different from ArcSWAT. If you want to use open-source SWAT-CUP, you may have to use ArcSWAT. By the way, where do you find the open-source SWAT-CUP?
Hope above will be useful to you.

hello, I noted this problem too, at visualize interface you can choose what output table you want, if you need calibration about streamflow you can use the "channel_sd" or "channel_sdmorph" these two different files have the same column "flo_in" & "flo_out" but these values are different. so I suggest you check your Txtinout folder and use EXCEl to calculate the streamflow calibration.

Dear Wensa,

Thank you. Yes, SWAT-CUP is not compatible with SWAT+. It was designed for SWAT. The structure of parameters is different as you said.
The open-source SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2 can be found here: https://swat.tamu.edu/software/swat-cup/

Dear,

Thank you. I checked it, and "channel_sdmorph_*" is suitable for my case. It calculates the average of flowrate each month, whereas "channel_sd_*" seems to sum flowrate each month.

Greetings colleagues,

I am just starting up on using this model, I am aware that the  SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2 needs one to set-up a model in ArcSWAT, what about QSWAT? which version of it is compatible with  SWAT-CUP 5.1.6.2?
