How add diverting canals and reservior intended for irrigation

Dear QSWATplus users.

I need your help.

So, I am working on the watershed that is located in a transboundary region of  Central Asia.

And, for several days, I'm trying to correctly delineate the watershed, which has a few diverting canals and a reservoir that has a storage capacity of 90M cubic meters. So, the problem is I can't include man-made canals and reservoirs into the delineation process to have a properly calculated water routing and distribution.

Though I burned my canals into the DEM to make it easy for the model to identify them as natural streams, but this could not solve the issue. 

Can anyone assist me in finding a solution? What is the standard and accurate method?

Some things to try:

1. Use a lakes shapefile to add your reservoir, not a reservoir point.

2. Try varying the burn in depth, using the parameters form.

3. Try using a grid model: these are more likely to give you multiple
outlet flows from a lake.
