Dear SWAT+ experts,

I would like to use dynamic LAI data derived from remote sensing images in SWAT+, but I have no idea how to do that. Probably you have experience in doing such an application, please let me know and kindly share the tutorial.

Thank you and best regards,

Hi,

Leaf Area Index development is a process that is simulated internally by SWAT+, meaning it is a model output rather than an input.

While you cannot feed LAI data directly into the model as an input variable, you can absolutely use observed LAI datasets (such as satellite-derived products) to calibrate and validate your model's plant growth component.
Best,
Natalja
