Dear QSWAT+ Users,
I am a beginner with QSWAT+ and am currently preparing to set it up for a watershed study in Ethiopia, which covers approximately 66,000 km².
When I loaded the soil data, I encountered an “Unknown soil value” error. I attempted to troubleshoot the issue but was unable to resolve it due to my limited experience. For your reference, I have attached the CSV files, including the lookup table and user soils, and the screenshot of the attribute table.
Upon inspecting the raster file, I noticed that some pixels contained NoData values (see the screenshot). I attempted to fill these missing values, but was unsuccessful. Despite ensuring that NoData values are consistently accounted for in the raster, lookup table, and user soils, the error persists.
I would greatly appreciate your guidance and support in resolving this issue.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Dessalegn:
I am seeing several problems in ‘usersoil.csv’. They are listed below.
--The soil named NoData should be deleted; The model will crash if this is used. There are no soil properties included (all zeros). This should also be deleted in your lookup table;
--The layers should always be greater than 10mm. (soil #9);
--WATER is not a soil and should not be included in the database (it should be deleted in this file and your lookup table). You would need to use wetlands/reservoirs for those areas in your watershed.
There may be other issues, but I know these will cause a problem.
Keep me posted on your progress.
Nancy
