HRU creation error with QSWAT+ 2.5.1

Hello,
I recently updated QGIS to 3.34.7 and thus had to update QSWAT+ to version 2.5.1 for Python 3.12.
I'm using the same exact data I successfully used with the previous versions of QSWAT+ (2.4.x).

Now when trying to create the HRUs I get multiple error messages during the very last step of HRU selection:

"Internal error: routing sink category CH id 9 not found as a source"

"There is a loop in the gis_routing table involving id 5, category PND, flow type tot"

Afterwards the button to import the watershed into the Editor becomes active, however when trying to do so I get the following error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "actions\import_gis.py", line 1453, in get_connections
KeyError: 9

During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "actions\import_gis.py", line 141, in insert_default
  File "actions\import_gis.py", line 1340, in insert_connections
  File "actions\import_gis.py", line 1458, in get_connections
KeyError: 'Check gis_routing. It is referencing a missing element. Key error id 12, con_row.sinkcat CH, con_row.sinkid 9. Error: 9'
