Hi everyone,

To ensure the development team and community members can provide the most efficient and accurate help, we are implementing a standard template for reporting issues.

Providing technical details upfront, such as software versions and model revisions, drastically reduces the time spent on "back-and-forth" questions and helps us diagnose bugs more quickly.

When posting a new issue, please copy, paste, and fill out the following template:

SWAT+ Issue Report Template

1. Primary Issue Location

  • Component: (e.g., QSWAT+, SWAT+ Editor, SWAT+ Executable, or Model Functionality)
  • Area of impact: (e.g., Model input, model output, or user data formatting)

2. Software Versions

  • GIS Interface: * SWAT+ Editor: * SWAT+ Revision:

3. Project Characteristics

  • Watershed Details: (Size, discretization settings/HRU thresholds, and location)
  • Modeling Aim: (e.g., Water balance, ET, crop growth, water quality, etc.)

4. Description of Issue

  • The Problem: (Provide a brief description of what is happening or the error message received)
  • Step to Reproduce: (What were you doing when the error occurred?)

5. Supporting Data (Optional)

  • Link to project folder: (Please use Google Drive, Dropbox, or a similar cloud service)

Thank you for your cooperation in making the SWAT+ community more effective!

Best regards,

SWAT+ Development Team
