Hello, I am a student running SWAT+ for the first time. I had no issues simulating flow and water quality, but I encounter an error when setting up pathogens in the Pathogen Constituents section after building the pathogen database.

For the pathogen database, I referred to the values provided in the SWAT+ input data PDF. The values for the Pathogen Constituents section are shown in the attached image.

I am wondering if I missed something or if the configuration values are incorrect. Are there additional settings I need to configure apart from setting up the Pathogen Constituents? I would greatly appreciate your help! Thank you!

Hi, I'm also a student who wants to use pathogen modelling for my thesis, but it isn't available in the latest QSWAT+ version. I'm so sorry for not answering your question. But I want to ask a question if possible. What version of QSWAT+ do you currently use that still provides the pathogen modelling? Also, which QGIS version supports this version of QSWAT+?

I would appreciate any kind of answers and further discussions. Thank you!

Hi there,

I'm also interested in using SWAT+ to model bacteria and am getting the same error. My model also was running fine prior to the addition of pathogens. I've posted this as an issue in the SWAT+ Editor group as well. Sorry, for cross-posting, but was surprised to see the same error pop up for someone else, so thought it worth noting.

I am also experiencing the exact same pathogen error (“Attempt to fetch from allocatable variable LY when it is not allocated”) in PATHOGEN_INIT.

I posted a question, and someone responded that based on his research (in 2019) SWAT+ did not have a Bacteria Module.

May I ask whether anyone in here has managed to successfully run the pathogen module in SWAT+?

So, I would really appreciate clarification on:

  1. Has anyone succeeded in running BACTP in recent SWAT+ builds?
  2. If yes, which SWAT+/Editor version are you using?
  3. Is there any fix or additional configuration required?

Thank you very much for your help.
