Hey folks, im trying to use swat to run pesticide modelling through my watershed. Hydrologic flow models fine (i get water and sediment moving in and out of reaches) but nothing for pesticide outputs. I'm sure that I've looked at every pesticide setting there is. My hunch is that my management operation isn't actually connecting to the HRUs. I'll send some basic info about my model below and screenshots of the pesticide settings I have set up. If anyone has suggestions I am all ears!
6 | NBYR : Number of years simulated
2017 | IYR : Beginning year of simulation
1 | IDAF : Beginning julian day of simulation
365 | IDAL : Ending julian day of simulation
2 | NYSKIP: number of years to skip output printing/summarization
1 | IPRP: print code for output.pst file: 1= print pesticide output
Precip and temp are measured data, everything else is generated values.
I added my own pesticide (Fluopyram) to the database.
Mgt Operation is set up for beginning growing season, pesticide application, and harvest and kill op each year the sim runs (ie 6 times). Its set up to only apply to AGRL HRUs.
Soil chem is set up so my pesticide is labelled. I haven't set an initial soil concentration, rather letting the 2 years of warm up figure that out.
I am unsure how to edit CHPST_KOC in the .swq file. The units in the UI say m^3/d, but the KOC value i've found is mL/g. Both the default value and my found value did not make a difference.
I also set up the routing pesticide to be fluopyram under in the general parameters .bsn file.
I read somewhere that you need to run the Input tables last, so I've tried that as well, didn't seem to make a difference. I also have tried adding in a minimal fertilizer application to the operation (read that that was a known glitch) (did not work), and tried adding tillage operation each year (also did not work). I've also tried all this using a pesticide already in the database and it didn't work either.
Is there something big I've missed? I'd really appreciate any input!!
