Check the ArcSWAT and SWAT user-group archives for this -- I know I've written responses to this before. ArcSWAT will already create the necessary stream connections, some of which will appear "imaginary" since they occur "inside" the reservoir. SWAT treats these as actual reaches, which is a little unrealistic but it seems to be so minor that it doesn't cause (many) problems. The reservoir is considered as a separate entity, at the outlet of the reach of the subbasin in which the reservoir occurs.Briefly, what I do when the reservoir is large is to add outlets manually (or by table) where tributaries enter the reservoir, and then delete the outlets that lie within the reservoir. Check the user-group archives for more details (which I hope are still there).Best of luck,-- JimFrom: "Alwish Ranjith" <alwish...@gmail.com>

Subject: SWAT for Reservoirs
If i have a reservoir with a very large water spread area and when i digitize the streams from the toposheet i get streams + a very large water spread area for the reservoir. Now , what shall i do ? because the streams are disconnected between the sluice of the reservoir and the start of the reservoirs water spread area. Should I create an imaginary stream just to connect it.--
