Hi everyone,

I am trying to write the SWAT Database Tables using QSWAT and the only one I am unable to write is the soil data (.Sol) table. I keep getting this error that reads "Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement,: IN,mWriteInputFiles.sol." I found some old threads posted in the SWAT-User group from 2016 and I made sure to have the SWAT_US_SSURGO_Soils.mdb stored in SWATEditor > Databases as the directions stated as well as went into the SWAT2012.mbd and checked the usersoils tables and ensured there were no spaces or blanks. I am using the SSURGO 2023 data. I am including a screenshot of what it all looks like.

On another note, is there a reason that my subbasin became outlined by a green rectangle after creating HRUs? That seemed odd to me. Thank you all in advance!

Hi Jenna,

There is a tutorial video for QSWAT here:  https://swat.tamu.edu/software/qswat/
It is on the right under the 'Help' header. There are two parts. I'm assuming that you have watched both parts and have done both of the tutorials as shown in these videos.

Besides what's shown in the tutorial, you have to make sure that the column headers in the soil or the landuse excel or csv files do not change.
From your swat editor image, the paths to geodatabase and soils database are different - in the tutorial, they were the same.

Best,
Ashehad

I'm experiencing this same issue as well. Has anyone figured out how to reconcile issues with writing the soils tables?

Hello,

Which version of the "SWAT_US_SSURGO_Soils.mdb" you are using? I recommend using the 2019 version, as other versions may have compatibility issues.

Thank you!
