music in itunes

when i open a song, it opens itunes and begins playing a song. problem
is, it is always the wrong song! i have tried many different songs,
with different methods (itunes open, itunes closed), and the problem
continues to persist. I don't know if this is an error on my part or a
bug or what...

I suggest you reinstall iTunes.

it won't mess up your playlists.
