How do I index add a network volume / shared folder?

Hi,
here is my setup.

Mac laptop running 10.6
I would to index a NTFS volume shared from an XP machine.

How ca I do this? I see nowhere in the preferences for this.

Mount your shared drive, if spotlight indexes your shared drive, results should show up there. otherwise just use spotlight to search your NTFS drive, is easier. press cmd-space
