Recent decisions at every level of government have sparked a heated national discussion of the separation of church and state. The intersection of individual freedoms and civil rights has called into question the role of the state in defining the bounds of religious freedom.

This lecture will feature Retired Montana Supreme Court Justice Jim Nelson followed by a panel discussion featuring local religious and civic leaders and will focus the recent non discrimination debates happening across Montana.

This lecture and panel discussion are hosted by Forward Montana: BozemanMontana State University Pre-Law ClubInterchange, & Montana State University Political Science Department.

Want to ask more questions of Justice Jim Nelson? Attend the Politics & Pastries Event in the Political Science Commons onThursday, October 2nd at 9:30am.
