Hello hams!
It's been a little while, but version 0.7.0 is now available for testing. After a lot of thought, I decided that the Recovery Code system was too convoluted. You'll see that it's been replaced with an account system. The account is fully optional.
Here's what an account gets you
- An extra layer of backup in case you lose your phone or drop it into a lake during a POTA activation
- The ability to sync between devices -- other Android devices and Apple devices
- You can sign in with Google, Apple, or email. For email sign-in, you'll get a link in your inbox. Just tap that on your phone, and QRV will be connected. No password is required.
You may also have noticed some weirdness around Premium/subscriptions while beta testing if you don't pick Lifetime (thanks K2JLV for the heads up). This is something Google does to let developers stress-test the renewal process, but it's very annoying for beta testers! Please select Lifetime when you go to purchase. And as a reminder, you won't actually be charged.
As always, let me know if you find anything or have questions.
