CAT interface (not working) HELP NEEDED

Hi all,

I wanted to go from "DIGI VOX ON" to "CAT PTT transmit" using WSJT-X and USB CAT cable...

When cable is connected, the USB SERIAL CH340 interface is present in my device manager.

Good point.

But, I failed in connecting the Minion to the PC using CAT interface to WSJT-X.

I tried all the combinations of bits, parity, stop, handshake, DTS, RTS with NO RESULT.

Here is a picture with setting and error message.

I noticed that the rig switches to RX-TX-RX, 6x times when I just plug the USB cable to the computer.

Help need please.

Have you changed the baud rate in the radio to match the baud rate of your setting in WJST-X?

Is there a setting within WAJT-X to set the Com Port?

I will try to check this out in the next few days, in order to find a solution.

Hi Robert,
Yes COM port and baud rate are the same between Minion and software.

I don't know for the other parameters (number of bits, start, parity, hand shake, etc...) because they are not documented...

It didn't work for me with WSJT-X software.

I will try again (maybe with another cable).

I tried again using the parameters given by Yuri on "Ham Radio Deluxe" software and IT WORKS just fine!

it still doesn't work on WSJT-X software with these parameters, so I will suppose it comes from software and not Minion.

I configured WSJT-X with "Ham Radio Deluxe" interface (instead of TS-440) and it works (I just have to have Ham Radio Deluxe running in the background).

I used "CTS off" in Ham Radio Deluxe parameters.

Even TX through CAT works great!

Anyone using this via the CAT interface on Linux?  I cannot seem to get my Linux system to "see" the mini when plugged into the USB port on the netbook and then doing a "lsusb" in terminal.

It turns out I had a bad USB cable.  The Linux system now sees the Mini when connected.  Will try and play some more with software and settings now.

Hi all QRPVER Minion Mini users,
I found at Omni Rig was system how WSJT-X and JS8Call can working with Minion Mini. I don't now yet, is it possible to work TX with out vox. Khz and bands working fine. Omni Rig is freeware software. They have many other fine software's.
