Hello. If you find a mistake, write here.
Your wishes for software improvement are just as interesting.

I would like to see the CW keyer become true iambic keyer. I think Iambic B is most commonly used.

I purchased the iambic key. At the moment, the firmware for the mode of iambic A is written, passes the test.
For the mode of iambic B, I have questions since I have not worked before on the iambic key, if I find an operator working in this mode in the closest circle of communication and I will be told and shown then and the mode of iambic B will be implemented.

Hi Yuri,  I can only tell you the definition but for me I am so used to using Iambic B that I find other CW keying modes confuse my sending and errors occur...even beyond my normal sending errors. :-)

Definition: Modes A and B refer to the way a Morse code keyer handles iambic (squeeze) keying.  If you press and hold both keyer paddles at the same time, the keyer will send out an alternating sequence of dits and dahs: . - . - . - . - . - etc.

The difference between mode A and mode B is what happens when both paddles are released.   In mode A, the keyer will complete the element being sent (either a dit or a dah) when the paddles are released; a mode B keyer sends an additional element opposite to the one being sent when the paddles are released.  So - to send the letter C with a mode A keyer, you would squeeze both paddles (dah before dit) and release them after hearing the last dit; with a mode B keyer, you would release the paddles after hearing the second dah, and the keyer will add the remaining required dit.

Hi Pete!
I know how the Iambic regime works B.
But that's what it would be right to implement in the firmware I need to find a master who would "putting my hand", it's very unusual after a single lever key.

I am not a master nor anywhere near it. :-)   However, I learned by squeezing the thumb and forefinger together, then keeping the forefinger in that "squeezed" position momentarily while releasing the thumb to form the characters. Takes quite a bit of practice.
For me, I only use the squeeze (iambic) method for certain characters like C and Q and few others but for rest of characters I use the single lever technique of left-right movement to form them. The "masters" form all characters using the squeeze-release method but many of use find it difficult to do it for all characters.
Practice- practice I guess. :)

Good morning:

I am not able to use the internal cw keyer regardless of what I try. I used a standard iambic key at first, but was told it was not supported. Literature I reviewed backs that up. So I acquired a single lever paddle. Same issue persists regardless of what speed I send. Whether it be 5 wpm or 35 wpm. What happens is that the letters are not forming correctly. Not all of them just some. Like the Q or the K. The dot consistently is absent event though sent by the key. When I install an external keyer and put it the transceiver in "manual" mode, it works just fine. So it is the internal keyer. Iambic A or B works for me. Doesn't matter all that much. But right now Iambic A doesn't work at all. I find myself having to repeat letters regularly that don't get sent correctly.

Yurii says this will be addressed in the firmware upgrade coming soon. I hope so. Otherwise this little radio is a real gem. I am sure this is just a firmware issue. This issue fixed, it will be a great radio.

Hi, Greg, N7GR!
The firmware has already been updated and is being tested.
Fixed work with the cw key, now you can work mode Iambic A.

Hello Yuri,
I am not a CW user and unfortunately I have no CW keyer...

So... if we had a way to send a tone for the (automatic) tuner to tune the antenna it would be great...

It could be associated to a press and hold 0,4s of the "band" button (I think it's still free).

Thanks...
