Digital Modes - Software Preferences

Hey everybody,

Just wondering, if you are running digital modes, what are you using? What is your reasoning, ie, simplicity of use, or myriad of features, or both?

Am just now getting a chance to really play with my recent Mini.  I am at this time trying the Mini with an Android tablet running AndFlmsg.  I am using a 3.5mm-4 position to 2 3.5mm-3 position splitter cable to split out the headphone and microphone signals from the tablet.  I can use just the output of the tablet to the Line Input of the Mini just fine thru the splitter (or independent) and it triggers VOX and allows me to set the audio level of the tablet to the Mini as outlined in the instructions.  That side of things seems to be working just fine.
When using the same splitter, and running the Line Out from the Mini into the tablet (ie the headphone connection on the splitter), the speaker on the Mini is still active.  Is that normal operation for the speaker to still play?

I have not been able to receive anything in AndFlmsg on the tablet, and so I dont know if there is a possible issue with the input to the tablet or not.

Again...I have just started to play with this, so maybe I am missing something simple.
