2018 - Quality Measure 238 (Registry Version) - No Strata Names

I’m looking at the latest versions of both measures-data.xml and measures-data.json from https://github.com/CMSgov/qpp-measures-data/tree/master/measures/2018. For other multi-strata measures, such as 348 and 371, measures-data.xml includes a <name> tag for each stratum.

Measure 348:

    <strata>

      <name>30</name>

      <description>Complications or mortality at 30 days</description>

    <strata>

      <name>90</name>

      <description>Complications at 90 days</description>

    </strata>

For measure 238, however, there are no <name> tags:

      <description>Patients with an order for at least one high-risk medication during the measurement period</description>

      <eMeasureUuids>

        ...

      </eMeasureUuids>

    </strata>

    <strata>

      <description>Patients with at least two orders for the same high-risk medication during the measurement period</description>

      <eMeasureUuids>

        ...

      </eMeasureUuids>

    </strata>

Last year (2017), the strata 1 and 2 had names “overall” and “2+”, respectively. Will the 2018 documentation be updated to show these same names?

Hi Randal,

Yes, this is a known issue and we have a ticket in our backlog to re-add these. They were accidentally removed in a repository update. Most strata names did not change from 2017 to 2018. Measure 238 will have the same names.

We just downloaded the latest set of QPP measures data from https://github.com/CMSgov/qpp-measures-data. These strata names for measure 238 have not been added back in. When we perform testing with the submissions API, we keep getting error messages to the effect that the strata names we are using — "overall" and "2+", the same as in 2017 — are invalid.

Is there an ETA of when this will be corrected?

Are you saying all the missing Strata values issue has been fixed and updated measure-data.json will be released this week? or its just a fix for measure 238 ?
