If your linux distribution doesn't already contain a package for
qosmic, then you will need to compile it from the source code. This
can be very problematic for people new to linux since there are almost
always some software dependency issues to resolve.

I'm encouraging people who can build from source to create or submit a
package for their distribution.

I've added a wiki page to the website that gives some tips for people who are
compiling from source. Much of it is already in the README, but there is a
short FAQ type section too.
